I’m a 17 year old male, just so you can get an idea of who will be wearing the ring. Tell me what you think. Thanks!

I’m getting married next year, and my fiance and I were shopping for his wedding band the other day. He really likes the look of tungsten rings, but the saleslady at the jewelry store told us tungsten rings were not able to be engraved because the metal is so hard. She said everyone she knows that tried to get it engraved is not happy with it because it does not look good. I have found mixed results when I tried to look it up online. Does anyone have a ring made of tungsten that is engraved? Or did you try to engrave any rings? What were the results? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My husband is currently deployed and when we got married we got him a ring but that wasn’t the kind that he wanted… Well I bought him one that he is going to love and it’s a surprise!! I do want to engrave it but idk…. I have only a few things in mind.. The band has crosses on it like he wanted to symbolize that we are bonded with Christ so that already has that meaning to it I don’t know if I want to add scripture… And he doesn’t like gold so it’s Tungsten so it’s unbreakable like our love… So just something short and simple but yet unique help me please!
I like that!! With You Always!! Thanks
Any other suggestions?

My husband was playing with our dog in the backyard last night and his wedding band flew off his finger. We have searched and searched with no luck finding it. It is made of Tungsten, with a sterling silver band down the middle. Will a metal detector help us find it?

I am shopping for a tungsten wedding ring with a platinum inlay, but I am only finding a couple styles. Who are the major tungsten ring manufacturers? Most every jewelry store that I’ve gone to so far carries only Triton tungsten rings. I’m looking for a 7mm wide stepped band with a brushed white gold or platinum inlay. Any suggestions?

My fiance and I’s budget for wedding band is quite small (like 100 dollars is the most we can spend on each) He really would like a Tungsten ring, but the ones at the jewelers are too expensive. I found a couple on ebay. Has anyone had any luck buying wedding bands off of ebay?? What are your thoughts??

I’m wondering if you can engrave inside of the Tungsten ring. I’m looking to puts something simple inside of the ring but its already engraved outside. I’m just wondering if it can be engraved on the inside.
Its for my husband, we’ve been married over a year and I’m looking to get him a wedding band he is more interested in wearing, he’s really wanting a Tungsten so I’m just curious about it before I buy it.
Any ideas?

I got married about five days ago, and my wedding band is made out of tungsten. Gold just didn’t go well with my skin tone, so I went with a dark gray metal. Also, I’m really careless with my belongings so my wife wanted me to have something I couldn’t break or damage.
I have once concern about my ring… If I’d end up getting an allergic reaction or being in an accident or something so I can’t get the ring off, what happens? Would they have to cut my finger off to get the ring off!?
And if ER’s are equipped to get tungsten rings off, can they do this in all cases and how do they do it?
The reason I’m asking is because I get injured all the time. From burning myself on the stove to getting stung by bees.

‘I know this sounds strange, but… I am looking for a women’s diamond wedding ring, with a tungsten Celtic design band. I want our wedding rings to match, and my fiance is getting a dark silvery/black tungsten band with a laser inlaid Celtic design. Does this even exist??
Is there anything similar? Thanks!

Just curious. My fiance and I went looking at wedding bands for him this afternoon and realized that the ones he likes don’t go with the one he already bought for me. Mine goes with my engagement ring and is white gold with small diamonds all the way around the whole thing. But the ones he has shown interest in so far are tungsten or the darker metals.

My fiance and I just bought a tungsten wedding band for me because we heard that they are basically indestructible and I can be pretty rough on jewelry. The thing is, I do maintenance on pools and works with all the chemicals involved with that. We are afraid that the chlorine I am constantly touching will eat away at the metal. Will it? I don’t think it will but we both figure better to be safe than sorry. We just need to know whether or not I will be able to wear my ring while I work or if I will have to take it off.

Ive been to a few of the jewelers, and around the web, and I noticed that the exact same rings are on ebay for hundreds less than in the jewelry store. Literally the exact same, on ebay for like 20$ at fred mayer for 500$ or so. Is there something wrong with the rings? Are they cheap titanium or tungsten or whatever? Does anyone know of a cool online jeweler with nondescript manly rings? I would really enjoy the savings on my honeymoon if at all possible.

and if anyone ownes either type, how easily do they scratch? am trying to decide on wedding bands but dont want anything soft and scratchable.
MaviGozl: there are plenty of these rings available and as wedding bands, thus why i am asking about them. i agree though that gold etc are noble and precious metals but im not interested in that. my eng ring is 18ct gold and scratched badly i dont want the wedding band to be the same.

I recently made a purchase for my fiance’s wedding band. After doing some research it sounds as if there are positives and negatives to this ring…as I’m sure there is to any ring.) I’m just curious if anyone else has bought this kind of ring…and if they ever had any problems. I appreciate any useful advice.

I’m a guy that loves his jewelry and wear a wedding band a platinum bracelet and a watch on my left hand and on my right I wear a silver bracelet and a tungsten celtic ring
I NEVER anything off
I know some married friends of mine who only wear them when they attend functions and some of them remove them before retiring for the night
do you wear yours all the time or not and if you don’t why not

I was under the assumption that I would have gotten him a white gold band that looked good with my set. I have been online looking at rings before going into the store, and the majority of the rings are triton tungsten and titanium. A lot of them are nice, but since it’s not gold like my set, I kind of feel cheap, like I got this extravigant white gold set and he gets this cheap band (even though they really aren’t that cheap).
Is it normal for guys to get triton tungsten and titanium wedding bands? That’s what all the best looking seem to be made of.
Very good idea about taking him to pick out his own…I agree, wouldn’t want him to not like his ring.
It’s not as much wondering if it would be cheap of me to get him one, but more wondering when the switch from gold to titanium and tungsten was? I had never noticed it before.

Okay, so him and i have come to the conclusion that If I have an engagement ring, he should too..
I’ve been trying to get ahold of this before this saturday because it’s my familiy’s christmas party and he needed a gift so i thought a ring would be the perfect thing.
But here’s the problem, I’ve only found one site that has a ring like the one he wants..but it isn’t in his size right now
http://www.jewelryvortex.com/fine-jewelry/rings/wedding-bands/mens-wedding/tungsten/inlay/rfr15178.php
And here’s one that i found in his size, but i’m not sure if he’d like it because it isnt the blue that he’s been looking for so badly(he’s picky about color, but i can’t blame him)
http://www.jewelryvortex.com/fine-jewelry/rings/wedding-bands/mens-wedding/tungsten/inlay/xtr0013.php
So what do you guys think i should do? I want him to get his ring as soon as possible and was hoping to have it for this saturday..but i’m not sure if he’d like it as much as the blue. Should i wait(though i dont know how long) or should I just get that one and hopes he likes it?
I could always get him the other one if he doesnt I guess..I dont know

I’m looking for a ring to replace my husbands old wedding band. I’m looking for online sites where you can buy without paying the high markup you in stores, or in store if it’s worth it for the quality. I bought one from titaniumkay.com, but it scratched within a week.

I originally wanted matching wedding bands for my fiance and I but he wants this carbon fiber tungsten band (which is cool) and I would love to get one too but I would just feel so weird not having my engagement ring on anymore. I waited so long for this ring and now I feel like I have to give it up. I’m not looking to spend much money on another ring so I was looking at getting a wrap for the engagement ring, but I haven’t found any that I really like and they all cost a hell of a lot more than I really wanted to spend. These carbon fiber tungsten rings are very cheap ( plus shipping on e-bay) but they are very durable and we really like them. Anyway, I really don’t know any other options and I feel so stuck!
To SquggleJay… I liked the idea of putting both on the same finger but the tungsten ring is a complete different look and not at all fancy and I have a really nice princess cut 1/2 carat diamond solitaire engagement ring… And I have small fingers (only a size 6.5 and they are about 2 inches long) so having two rings on one finger would be really uncomfortable, but I really did like the suggestion!
